Love the sky, stars, sun, moon, and clouds!

These photos were snapped while I was “out and about” running errands - on several different days. I
looked up, grabbed my handy camera (which I carry all the time) and snapped!

The rain cloud was almost ready to burst in this first photo. The second was just a lovely sky with clouds, and the third was stunning. When I looked - the blue was so deep and the little white cloud so white!

My favorite? The rain clouds, of course. They were so massive and wild.

What a beautiful and wonderful world we have if we just remember to LOOK!

Do you really think this is all just an accident of nature?

Use your intellect. Do accidents look like this?

I think not!

Kayak in January

January 21, 2008

Went to Whiskeytown yesterday with my girl friend. It was brisk, but there wasn’t a ripple on the water. There wasn’t a soul out there except us - bundled up and picnic in hand. We kayaked a bit and I saw a wonderful photo opportunity. Check out the eagle.
I was ready to snap a reflection of trees on the still water and heard a bird fly off. It was a huge eagle. Still on the branch was the mate. Sitting so proudly, he stayed until I paddled almost on shore. Then off he flew. What a sight. The second photo is of Shasta Bail with some snow (over 6,000 ft.) and the still water reflecting it’s beauty. Lastly, late in the afternoon we sat having our picnic and I looked down at the kayaks and the sparkling water, and just thought it lovely - so hope you enjoy!eagle2.jpgbali-and-reflection-108.jpgkayaks-and-sparkles1.jpg

This year was an old fashion Christmas for us!

We were so blessed to see carolers on this sleigh, fresh snow falling from the sky, laughter of the family and children, and knowing everyone is doing good. These are the times when it’s easy to realize what are the real riches in life!
Moments like these fly, so when you have the opportunity to share love with someone……..do it! Love comes back to enrich your life. CREATE a beautiful day!

Sunset from the car

December 12, 2007

My husband said “What are you doing?”, as I grabbed for my camera. I asked him to put the side window in back down quickly. He did. Out came the camera and “SNAP”.

I had hoped the photo would show (at least partly) what an awesome sky the clouds and sunset presented to me. If you haven’t had the privilege of seeing a great sunset lately-
ENJOY!

Though my writing is sparse, I am taking care of what needs to be done and thereby
not “stressing out” at all the things to do during this season. I hope you do the same and take a breath once in a while! What doesn’t get done today will get done - or not!
Take it easy and trust yourself to accomplish what you want at some point!

Remember to love and laugh and be grateful for all the blessings we take for granted!

Find beauty in all that you see

November 6, 2007

I awoke earlier this morning than usual. I was sleepy and wished I had slept longer,
but decided to wrap up and walk outside, have a sip of my coffee, and check out the day before dawn!

It was stunning! I could see the shadow of the trees in my yard and a big slice of the moon above. The air was crisp, hinting winter is rounding the corner.

Naturally I grabbed my camera and took this photo! (I played with it on photo shop first). It actually made my morning to find this unexpected treat outside!

So get to it, my friends, find beauty in something today and ENJOY! This life is short, make it SWEET :)

A taste of autumn for YOU!

The beginning of fall and the continuing trashing of the forest! Shame on us!

Make someone you love MOVE!

August 11, 2007

Even if it’s you! (Of course this isn’t me.) It is my darling husband who sometimes doesn’t want
to kayak because the boat has no motor - it’s a guy thing:)…..but after he gets out there he regenerates and is ALWAYS glad he made the effort.

We were meant to move and when I stop, I will be dead! Have a wonderful weekend and move that body. You also create what is known as endorphins. They are a natural high by using your oxygen and moving…honest! You can’t overdose, it’s not illegal, but ask anyone who knows about endorphins-they rock!
